My 5 Tips for De-Stressing

To be completely honest, I'm probably not the best person to be taking stress advice from. I'm always stressed out, especially at this time of year. So mush needs to get done before the summer, it can all get a little crazy and feel like too much. Stress can eat away at you. It happens to the best of us.
I am learning ways to combat it, though! here are some of the things that work the best for me:

1. Take a break
Use this opportunity to do something you love to do. I usually like to go somewhere private and put my earbuds in and dance and sing along. But you can do whatever you want! You can draw, read a book, play with your pet, or make some yummy food.
2. Go outside
Just being in nature can be really relaxing. If you don't have the time to go to anywhere fancy, even a little walk will do you good. Simply getting out of the house can clear your mind.
3. Light a scented candle
Man, I love scented candles. They give off such a relaxing vibe, I always make sure to have a few of them on hand.
4. Do something creative
This can be anything! Something to take your mind off whatever you're doing can make all the difference. If it's creative, it can make you feel a lot better, too.
5. Give yourself some motivation
Remind yourself why you're here, what you're doing this for, and how much better you'll feel after you get this out of the way. Go back to your problem or work with motivation and determination!

How do you de-stress? I would love to know!

I loved your ideas, I personally don't usually get stressed a lot but when I notice that I do I like to get rid of it by doing art, working out on my treadmill, listening to my favorite music or just taking a relaxing bath.

  22. I totally needed this post! So great and helpful!
I'm finished with finals and school's over, but continuing studying over the summer is so stressful sometimes. I end up feeling so stressed I end up negative and unmotivated about things in general--all my goals seem to vanish and I'm left wondering what I'm even doing in life because I don't feel like doing anything at all. But doing something creative helps pick me up!

Love this post--I'll have to try lighting a scented candle next time! And your socks are so pretty xx
